Workshop Schedule for 2012
Printmaking with Jo Hollier. Reinvigorate your print practice or learn totally new sklls!!
The Perfect Antidote to the Christmas rush.
Receive individual attention in small group workshops of 2, 3 or 4 participants. All levels are welcome. If you have limited experience or you have ideas of your own to explore, be guided by Canberra artist Jo Hollier in her own studio in tranquil rural surrounds of Strathnairn.
A mixture of print mediums will be covered as outlined in the schedule.
Non toxic methods are practiced in Jo’s studio and a variety of water based inks will be used.
The cost is $100 per day with all materials, inks, papers, equipment tea and coffee included.
All you need to bring is images for inspiration or your own artwork to develop into printing plates.
The workshop will go ahead with minimum of 2 people, 4 is the maximum.
January Dates
Relief printing. Woodblock or lino. Starting simple. 11th and 17th.
Mono printing.Monoprint methods using different inks and paints and water soluble pencil .Tranfer images by hand and using a press 12th
Collograph * requires two days a week apart. 13th and 20th.
Intaglio- Etching Dry point 19th.
Intaglio- Etching with copper sulphate. 20th.
February Dates: 4th and 5th
Collograph Continue working on plates previously made and or make totally new images.
March Date : 9th and 10th
Intaglio- Etching Dry point
Intaglio- Etching with copper sulphate.
March/ April Dates: 31st of March 1st of April
Relief Printing. lino or wood block print making.
